Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Certo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Certo is a fully offline mobile reminder application that schedules and triggers notifications on your device. It does not use accounts, servers, or cloud sync.

One-time and recurring reminders (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, custom)
Exact alarms and an optional Critical mode
Categories, snooze, and quick add
Light and dark themes and 9-language support

Notifications & Device Reliability

Certo schedules exact alarms to ring your reminders. However, actual notification delivery also depends on factors outside the App's control, including your device's operating system, manufacturer battery-management settings, Do Not Disturb / Focus modes, and the permissions you grant.

You are responsible for granting notification and exact-alarm permissions
You may need to exclude Certo from battery optimization for best results
Some devices may restrict background apps in ways that can delay alarms

User Responsibilities

By using Certo, you agree to:

Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

One-Time Purchase & Payments

Certo is free to use with core features. An optional one-time upgrade unlocks Pro features (such as unlimited reminders, Critical mode, custom intervals, and local backup export):

Certo Pro: one-time purchase of $7.99 (not a subscription)

Important: The purchase is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It is a one-time payment with no auto-renewal. Local prices may vary by region and store. You can restore your purchase on a new device through the same store account.

Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests should be directed to the respective app store according to their refund policies. HKSolutions does not directly process payments or refunds.

Intellectual Property

The Certo app, including its design, logos, and code, is the property of HKSolutions and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your reminder content remains yours and stays on your device.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Certo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While the App is designed for maximum reliability, we do not guarantee:

That every notification will be delivered under all device conditions
Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Please note: Do not rely on Certo as the sole method for life-critical or safety-critical reminders (for example, time-critical medication). Always keep an independent backup method for such situations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HKSolutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Certo, including any missed reminder or notification.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new terms in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to Certo at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
