Privacy Policy

Data we collect

None. ReceiptVault does not collect personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers or any other data. We have no servers and no way to access what is on your device.

On-device storage

All of your content stays local to your device:

• Receipts, photos, amounts, warranty and return dates are saved in a local database on your device.
• Your settings (theme, language, currency) are stored locally.
• Nothing is uploaded to any server, including ours.

Permissions we use

ReceiptVault requests only the permissions needed for features you choose to use, all processed on-device:

• Camera / Photos — only to capture or import a receipt image for scanning. Images are processed locally and never uploaded.
• Notifications — to remind you before a warranty or return window expires. Reminders are scheduled locally.
• Biometrics — optional, to lock the app. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's secure hardware and is never seen by the app.
• The release version of ReceiptVault requests no internet permission.

Backup & export

If you create a backup, it is encrypted on your device with a password you choose (AES) before being saved to a location you pick. Exports (PDF/CSV) are generated on your device and shared only when you choose to share them. We never receive a copy.

In-app purchases

The optional premium upgrade is processed entirely by the Google Play Store (and, where available, the Apple App Store). We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified on-device through the store.

Children's privacy

ReceiptVault does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Security

• Optional app lock with biometrics or PIN.
• Backups are AES-encrypted with your password.
• No network transmission of your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
