Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ScanVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

ScanVault is a mobile application that scans documents, recognizes text on your device (OCR), creates searchable PDFs, stores them in a private vault, and provides a set of PDF editing tools — all processed locally on your device.

On-Device Processing

ScanVault processes everything locally on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers, and we have no access to their content. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important files.

User Responsibilities

By using ScanVault, you agree to:

Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
Only scan and store documents you have the right to handle
Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the App
Keep your PIN and device secure to protect your vault

Free & Pro (In-App Purchase)

ScanVault is free to use with monthly limits on scans and PDF operations, and a watermark on exported files. A one-time Pro purchase unlocks:

Unlimited scanning and PDF tools
Watermark-free exports
Vault encryption
Batch processing

Important: The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. Purchases can be restored on your devices through the same store account.

Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests should be directed to the respective app store according to their refund policies. HKSolutions does not directly process payments or refunds.

Intellectual Property

The ScanVault app, including its design, logos, and code, is the property of HKSolutions and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The documents you scan and create remain entirely yours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ScanVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

Perfect accuracy of OCR text recognition
Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
That the App will be free of errors or interruptions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HKSolutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of ScanVault.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new terms in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
